Quality Technician

This is an exceptional opportunity to work with an Oil&Gas Services company in Shreveport, Louisiana

Job Description:
Pay Rate: $19.25/hr or more, depending on experience plus overtime, Medical, Dental and Vision under a W-2 Contract to Hire

Weekday Day: 7am - 5:30pm (Monday - Thursday) With some mandatory OT on Fridays
Weekday Night: 5pm - 3:30am (Monday - Friday) - $3 shift diff. With some mandatory OT on Friday night - Saturday

Job Summary:
The Quality Technician is responsible for performing quality control activities with a focus on electrical components, systems, and assemblies. This role ensures compliance with specifications, standards, and safety requirements through inspections, testing, and documentation within the assigned organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections and tests on electrical components, wiring, control panels, materials, equipment and subassemblies to verify compliance with engineering specifications and applicable standards.
Review and validate documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
Use calibrated electrical measurement equipment (e.g., multimeters, megohmmeters) with acceptable repeatability and reproducibility.
Perform functional testing of electrical systems and troubleshoot non-conformances.
Document inspection and test results using designated business systems, following applicable procedures and electrical test plans.
Participate in job risk analysis and support continual improvement initiatives.
Ensure stability and consistency of test results over time.
Maintain good housekeeping and organization within testing and inspection areas.
Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to related Risk Assessments and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Apply principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement in quality processes.

Qualifications and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in electrical systems preferred.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and procedures.
Experience with electrical inspections, testing, or troubleshooting in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with quality management systems is a plus.
Prior experience in quality control or electrical testing preferred.
