A machine operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining industrial machinery in a manufacturing setting, ensuring the machine produces high-quality products consistently while adhering to safety protocols and production schedules; their duties include loading materials, monitoring machine functions, troubleshooting issues, performing basic maintenance, and maintaining a clean work area.
Maintenance and troubleshooting:
Performing basic maintenance tasks like cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs; identifying potential machine malfunctions and reporting issues to maintenance personnel.
Production monitoring:
Tracking production rates and ensuring adherence to production schedules.
Safety compliance:
Following all safety procedures, wearing required personal protective equipment, and reporting any safety concerns.
