O&M Technician

WAVSYS is looking for experienced Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Technicians to join a large solar services company in Oakland CA.

Candidates will be tasked with supporting clients from commissioning to decommissioning. Ideally, candidate will have experience with start up, operation, shutdown and maintenance of the solar/PV facility equipment and systems.

Required skills:
Troubleshooting and repairing of mechanical and electrical equipment.

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and lead the repair of all field systems and equipment, and assist in substation systems and equipment, as applicable.
• Perform advanced tests utilizing: Multi meter, Ammeter, IV-Curve Tracer, Micro-ohm Meter, Mega-ohm Meter, MV/HV Tester, Power Quality Analyzer, Capacitance Meter, IR Thermographic Equipment,
• Perform advanced preventive maintenance on PV systems and basic preventive maintenance on Substation equipment, as applicable.
• Write and lead routine switching operations on High Voltage (HV) and Medium Voltage (MV) systems and equipment, including substation equipment and overhead transmission systems, as applicable.
