Landscaper - Vegetation Operator

Job Description:

Pay Rate: $19-21/hr depending on experience plus overtime, Medical, Dental and Vision under a W-2 Contract to Hire

Vegetation Technician to perform general labor duties surrounding Utility-Scale and Distributed Generation PV projects. It is an entry-level position who perform tasks as directed by team supervisors and managers. The Vegetation Technician is responsible for performing vegetation management, and other associated duties as directed. The Vegetation Technician reports to the Site Manager.

Occasional travel will be required.

Duties and Responsibilities

Labor to perform vegetation management duties as assigned

Other general maintenance labor duties as assigned

Being “Second Man” for safety. This requires observing other technicians and providing assistance if needed in the event of an emergency. This may include providing CPR/First Aid, calling 911, notifying Management or customer contacts.

Providing additional labor to support technicians, including carrying material and supplies onsite, performing basic tasks as assigned by senior technicians, gathering information on site, preparing or cleaning up work sites for O&M tasks, and any other tasks assigned by senior technicians.

Tracking his/her time and entering it in the appropriate system.

Using email or other means to get assignments, directions, site information necessary to perform work and coordinate with other technicians or personnel.

Ideal candidates would be using the position to learn with an eye towards developing new skills and being promoted to more senior positions.
