Electrical O&M Technician (Utility Scale)

Job Description:

Pay Rate: $40 or more per hour depending on experience plus overtime, Medical, Dental and Vision under a W-2 Contract to Hire

The O&M Technician – Maintenance - Electrical maintains electrical equipment, performs regular preventive maintenance, troubleshoots, operates, tests, supervises outage and plant improvement work, and maintains documentation on all power plant electrical equipment and systems.

The Electrical O&M Technician keeps power plant electrical equipment in optimum operating condition; provides safety and environmental stewardship in his/her area of expertise; ensures compliance with all applicable Federal and State regulations and plant procedures; and develops and participates in continuous improvement of plant operating and maintenance procedures to ensure optimal, consistent, and safe operation.

Cross functional skills should be in the areas of administration, mechanical, power plant operations, and instrumentation and controls.

Responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, installation, and repair of plant electrical equipment. Equipment includes high, medium, and low voltage switchgear, generators, exciters, step-up and step-down transformers, motors, breakers, contactors, MODs, PTs, CTs, cable and conduits, station batteries, UPS systems and other electrical equipment.

• Performs troubleshooting, diagnostics, installation, and repair of plant electrical equipment.

•Experience as an Industrial Electrician.

•Demonstrated experience in a power, steam generation, or other industrial facility is desirable.

•Combined Cycle power plant experience is preferred.
