This is an exceptional opportunity to work with an Oil&Gas Services company out of Youngsville, Louisiana rotating Offshore to the Gulf of Mexico

Job Description:
Pay Rate: $14 / hour plus overtime and medical benefits in a W2 Contract to Hire
Rotation: 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Candidates should live within 50 miles of Youngsville
Offshore position

Job Summary:
The Sample Catcher provides the GSS Field Specialist/Engineer trainees, also called mud loggers, with a representative collection of mud samples and cuttings and helps them in the maintenance of all the equipment installed around the rig.

Collects cuttings sample
Washes, dries and screens samples, divides them into correct portions and packs them by sets for Client, partners and trade
Assists in core recovery and core packing when required
Is responsible for alerting when noticing unusual cuttings sizes and shape, lack of cuttings whilst drilling, gas cut mud and visual inspection of gas sampling apparatus at the shakers
Assists the GSS Field Specialist/Engineer trainees in monitoring the well and in the maintenance of the equipment.
Is aware of safety regulations and procedures, as specified by the Client, Geoservices, relevant safety authorities and respect safety regulations in all
Performs other duties as assigned by direct supervisor service attitude, availability, good common sense, methodic, safety awareness
