Job Description

Work will be in the Permian or Delaware Basin, MUST have reliable transportation to get to the rig.
Pay rate will be $20/hr Per Diem $25/day Mileage reimbursed from Odessa to Rigsite & back.
Rotations are 28 days on 14 days off.
MUST have previous solids control experience to qualify

The Oilfield Solids Control Technician plays a critical role in the efficient and safe operation of drilling and exploration activities in the oil and gas industry. This position is responsible for maintaining and operating solids control equipment to separate and remove drilling solids and impurities from drilling fluids, ensuring the integrity of drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Operation: Operate and monitor various solids control equipment, such as shale shakers, mud cleaners, centrifuges, and degassers, to remove impurities from drilling fluids.

Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of solids control equipment to ensure it functions optimally, report and address any malfunctions promptly.

Data Recording: Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, including flow rates, temperatures, and fluid properties. Provide regular reports to supervisors.

Sampling: Collect samples of drilling fluids and solids for analysis, and assist with maintaining appropriate fluid properties.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring the safety of yourself, colleagues, and the environment during all operations.

Environmental Stewardship: Properly manage waste materials, ensuring they are disposed of according to environmental regulations and industry standards.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with drilling crews, mud engineers, and other personnel to optimize drilling fluid performance and maintain operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (some technical training or relevant certification preferred).

Basic knowledge of drilling fluids, solids control equipment, and drilling operations.

Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform routine maintenance.

Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Willingness to work in challenging environmental conditions and irregular hours.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.

Stamina to work long shifts, often in physically demanding conditions.

Physical dexterity to operate and maintain equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 80 – 91 per week
