Job Description:
Pay Rate: $25 / hour + shift differential, Overtime, Medical, Dental and Vision under a W-2 Contract to Hire
2nd shift: 3pm - 11pm ($1.00 shift diff.)
3rd shift: 11pm - 7am ($1.50 shift diff.)
This position conducts troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on machines critical to the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment. - Document work activities in CMMS system.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics, and plumbing and instrumentation diagrams.
- Repair pumps, motors, gearboxes, cylinders
- Repair brake, clutch, and tension control systems
- Troubleshoot and repair 24VDC, 120VAC, 240VAC, and 480VAC electrical systems. Including basic understanding of ladder logic and PLC troubleshooting
- Maintain and operate process boiler, plant air compressors, and fire protection systems.
- Work independently or with other team members, supervisors, engineers, and operators to schedule and complete assigned work orders.
- Help identify root causes for breakdowns and contribute skill knowledge to all parties.
- Maintain maintenance areas to 6S, HSE, and Quality standards.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and properly check out parts from storeroom.
- Reports directly to Maintenance Manager
Preferred Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
- Machining and fabrication knowledge: Lathe, milling machine, drill press, pipe threader, band saws.
- Cutting torch and Welders (GMAW, SMAW, GTAW)
- Hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems
- Replace or repair motors, AC/DC drives and control circuits.
- Advanced PLC and HMI control systems experience (Allen Bradley and Siemens)
- Perform equipment calibrations per ISO requirements.
- Repair and maintain high voltage test equipment.
- Problem solving, leadership, communication, and managing the assigned task.
