Maintenance Technician
This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a nationwide Oil & Gas company in Florence, Kentucky
Job Description:
Pay Rate: $30/hr plus overtime and full benefits
Shift: This is a 1st shift position, 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday, approximately 5AM-1:30PM (actual start time can be discussed), with overtime available.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities.
Responsibilities
• Safety first & every time: Safely perform work according to national, state, and local regulations, company policy & procedure, and own knowledge and experience
• Perform a wide variety of planned and unplanned maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Perform a wide variety of planned and unplanned maintenance on facilities and associated systems
• Perform troubleshooting on machinery and equipment, and facilities, along with identifying work and parts needed to repair
• Investigate, select, and determine source for needed parts
• Work from oral and written job instructions, manufacturer’s manuals, drawings, sketches, diagrams, schematics, etc.
• Proactive identification of impending failures of machinery and equipment, or facilities
• Proactive identification of periodic maintenance needs
• Ensure that activities are carried out in environmentally responsible manner
• Periodic operation of crane, forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift to perform duties
• Maintain excellent housekeeping/5S in work area(s)
• Keep Facilities’ tools and equipment in good working order
Experience & Skills
• Commitment to safety; both for self and others
• Previous experience in Facilities/Maintenance role
• High School diploma or GED required, trade-school or other technical school a plus
• Mechanical equipment/assembly experience
• Fabrication knowledge (drilling, cutting, soldering). Forming/bending & welding experience a plus
• Ability to use hand and power tools typically used in maintenance activities
• Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, P&ID, etc.
• Able to work with limited supervision with ability to prioritize daily work
• Ability to use Windows based programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
• Electrical system experience a plus
• Hydraulic system experience a plus
• Facilities systems knowledge (plumbing, minimal HVAC, door/gate systems) a plus
