Junior Laboratory Technician

Job Description:
Pay Rate: Starting at $18/hr or more, depending on experience plus overtime under a W-2 Contract to Hire with Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits

Responsibilities:
Assist in the formulation and preparation of oilfield chemicals used in cement
Conduct basic chemical tests and analyses to ensure the quality and consistency of products.
Follow established procedures and protocols for handling, storing, and disposing of chemicals safely.
Maintain accurate records of experiments, test results, and chemical inventory.
Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize chemical formulations.
Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; degree in chemistry or related field preferred but not mandatory.
Previous experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
Basic understanding of chemistry principles and laboratory techniques.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols with precision.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
Familiarity with oilfield operations and chemicals is a plus.
