Electronic Technician

This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a nationwide Oil & Gas company in: Sugar Land, TX.

Work Hours:
8am - 5pm


Job Summary:
The Electrical/Electronics Technician performs and supports tests, data collection, and reports for electronic assemblies. The role also includes maintaining and organizing the laboratory environment and equipment.

Responsibilities:

Assist engineers in setting up and conducting tests.
Collect and prepare test data reports.
Resolve product design issues, review documentation, and audit processes.
Assemble/disassemble test prototypes.
Repair and rework electronic board assemblies.
Perform soldering on electronic components.
Use and maintain test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
Maintain and organize the lab environment.
Order and track lab supplies.
Develop and manage equipment calibration plans.
Ensure lab equipment is properly calibrated and classified.
Support HSE and internal lab audits.
Maintain MSDS binder and regulatory database.
Wear PPE and observe safety policies.
Complete required safety training.

Skills:
Read and interpret circuit schematics and wiring diagrams.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic board assemblies.
Perform wire crimping and soldering.
Use common lab equipment for testing and troubleshooting.

Supervision:
Limited supervision required.
Ability to work independently.
Reports to the Electrical Engineer.

Qualifications:
High school diploma.
Two years of technical training.
1-3 years of related job experience (5-10 years preferred).
