CDL Trainer Assistant

This is an exceptional opportunity to work with an Oil&Gas Services company in Kellyville, Oklahoma

Job Description:
Pay Rate: $20 - $30 / hour depending on experience, Medical, Dental and Vision under a W-2 Contract to Hire

Hours: Monday - Friday (40 hours)

Job Summary:
Aid in the development of Crash Free, SAFE employees, contractors and drivers by coaching and mentoring of employees through in New Employee Safety Training, First Aid/ CPR, PEC, vehicle Skill Assessments, Commentary Drives, and Advanced Skill Maneuvers.

Responsibilities:
Work directly with Driver Trainers, Master Driver Trainers, and management for the duration of the driver training course
Provide the opportunity for the development of driving skills and elevation of competence through:
Supervised practice sessions
Reinforcing classroom theory in the vehicle
Knowledge sharing
Positive reinforcement, and constructive criticism
Moving of equipment and Advanced Skill Maneuver vehicles
Organization, completion, and distribution of all required documentation
Cleaning and refueling of equipment and vehicles
Documentation and reporting of any needed repairs
Returns all vehicle keys to the office when vehicle is not in use
Notification to management of any individual not attaining the desired level of competence
Adherence/reinforcement of company driving policies in addition to local, state, and federal laws as they apply to driving
Promote HSE culture
Use of correct PPE as required
Use of seatbelts for all occupants during vehicle use
Demonstration and coaching of SIPP techniques during practical training sessions
Ensures condition and use of seatbelts in all vehicles for driver and passengers
Professionalism through:
Willingness to accept direction
Customer service
Personal demonstration of skills
Leading by example for new employees
Operation of Driving Simulators
Other duties as required

Requirements:
Degree in a Health, Safety, or Environmental Related Field.
Valid driver’s license appropriate to vehicles operated
MVR and PSP (where required) within scope of NAL C-JMP
DOT Medical Examination (where required)
Minimum 2 years’ experience operating a Commercial Motor Vehicle (as applicable)
Previous experience mentoring/coaching new drivers preferred
Strong communication skills (written and oral)
Ability to travel as needed
