Mechanical Design Engineer

This is an exceptional opportunity to work with an Oil&Gas Services company in Houston, Texas

Job Description:
Pay Rate: $28 / hour plus overtime and medical benefits in a W2 Contract to Hire
Hours: 7am - 4pm
100% Onsite
Minimum of 2 years of experience designing in SolidWorks.
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge is required
Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) is required
Ansys or SolidWorks pressure vessel simulation will be a plus

Under general supervision, assists in analysis, modification and design of products and services for assigned projects which requires working knowledge of materials, components, and their applications.
Prepares design calculations and specifications.
Develops test procedures, conducts tests and completes test result analysis for assigned projects.
Assists in handling field and manufacturing problems to maintain and improve products and services.
Incorporates Reliability, HSE and Quality analysis techniques during the design process.
Completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering required.
