Pay Rate: $19.25/hr+ (Depending on candidates experience)
Weekday Day: 7am - 5:30pm (Monday - Thursday) With some mandatory OT on Fridays
Weekend Day Shift: 5am - 5:30pm, Friday - Sunday (36 hours total, it will not be rounded up to 40 hours). $2.50 shift differential on top of hourly rate.
Job Summary:
- The Quality Technician is responsible for performing quality control activities with a focus on electrical components, systems, and assemblies. This role ensures compliance with specifications, standards, and safety requirements through inspections, testing, and documentation within the assigned organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and tests on electrical components, wiring, control panels, materials, equipment and subassemblies to verify compliance with engineering specifications and applicable standards.
- Review and validate documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
- Use calibrated electrical measurement equipment (e.g., multimeters, megohmmeters) with acceptable repeatability and reproducibility.
- Perform functional testing of electrical systems and troubleshoot non-conformances.
- Document inspection and test results using designated business systems, following applicable procedures and electrical test plans.
- Participate in job risk analysis and support continual improvement initiatives.
- Ensure stability and consistency of test results over time.
- Maintain good housekeeping and organization within testing and inspection areas.
- Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to related Risk Assessments and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Apply principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement in quality processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in electrical systems preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and procedures.
- Experience with electrical inspections, testing, or troubleshooting in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with quality management systems is a plus.
- Prior experience in quality control or electrical testing preferred.
