Backend Software Engineer

WAVSYS is looking for an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join a large organization in Houston TX !

Backend Software Engineer to develop Cloud micro-services, infrastructure and web applications to support PaaS, IaaS and CaaS applications. The programming language is mainly Scala, while Golang, Java, and Python are used in some of the services.

Responsibilities:
Architect, design and implement cloud based micro servicesDocument architecture, design, and implementation in approved company business systemsCollaborate with architect, QA, DevOps engineers and product owners in daily development processTroubleshoot issues in production and development environmentsPrioritize, analyze and resolve defects.

Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science

Technical skills – Nice to have
-Experience with Java Spring Framework
-Some experience with C/C++/programming languageExperience with Google cloud platform and developing applications hosted on GCP
-Knowledge of tradeoffs among PaaS, CaaS and IaaS cloud-based solutions
-Experience of application performance optimization (including networking)
-Experience with RPC and / or WebSocket architectures
-Has setup CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, VSTS or similar tools
