(Archived) Financial Associate

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation and analysis of monthly financial performance and accounting month-end close activities
• Review existing Purchase Orders, verify and reconciling incoming invoices, and all other monthly spend
• Support the preparation and analysis of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
• Leverage understanding of financial modeling, and a hypothesis-based approach to identify, validate and quantify multiyear operational agreements
• Identify and track key indicators to monitor reporting performance
• Demonstrate aptitude for critical thinking in complex situations with the ability to synthesize ambiguous data into concrete results
• Track future pending commitments
• Produce clear, well-formatted reports that communicate a clear, compelling message for the business
• Perform ad-hoc analyses related to cost-savings opportunities, capital expenditures, and other corporate initiatives

Desired Skills/Experience

• Finance, accounting, or economics degree
• 1-2 years prior work experience is preferred, but not required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Intermediate/advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
• Basic knowledge of financial tools (e.g., Hyperion Smartview, Onestream) helpful
• Knowledge of accounting regulations including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Outstanding problem solving and quantitative analysis abilities
• Ability to define problems, seek and collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Well-developed oral and written presentation skills, with the ability to summarize complex concepts into understandable and easy-to-follow presentation materials
