HR Administrator
This is an exceptional opportunity to work with an Oil&Gas Services company in Shreveport, Louisiana
Job Description:
Pay Rate: Starting at $18/hour (depending on experience) plus overtime. Benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision under a W-2 Contract-to-Hire agreement.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Job Summary:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and documentation.
Respond to frequently asked questions from employees regarding policies and benefits.
Ensure confidentiality and integrity of HR records and sensitive information.
Conduct periodic audits of HR files and training databases to ensure compliance and completeness.
Provide clerical support to the HR department and submit inquiries to the HR platform for system updates.
Support HR metrics reporting and ad-hoc data requests to meet Key Performance Objectives (KPOs).
Assist with payroll-related tasks, including employee inquiries and error resolution.
Facilitate new hire orientation, including packet preparation, I-9 verification, and benefits enrollment.
Serve as first-line support for basic employee questions and requests.
Submit HR system requests for per diems, separations, time-off quotas, and other applicable actions.
Assist in planning and executing HR-related events such as benefits enrollment, company-wide meetings, employee recognition, holiday activities, and retirements.
Support HR-related purchase orders and ensure completion through procurement systems.
Actively participate in employee-led committees, including engagement and safety teams.
Contribute to safety initiatives, including submitting monthly safety observations, serving as a point of contact during emergencies, and maintaining CPR/First Aid certification.
Coordinate responses to internal and external employment verification, legal, or third-party requests.
Maintain current HR knowledge through ongoing learning and professional development.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in any field, or 2–5 years of experience in HR, customer service, or administrative support.
Preferred Qualifications:
SHRM certification or membership in other recognized HR associations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (tables and reporting).
Experience in oil & gas or manufacturing industries.
